Orange & Lemons

Orange and Lemons is a Filipino pop rock band formed in 1999. The band name "Oranges and Lemons" was initially recommended by a former member of the group. Apparently the band was not aware at that time that the name was actually derived from a British nursery rhyme.
With a style of retro music combined with alternative rock, the band has become few of Pinoy Rock bands that have definitive sound that separated them from the rest of pure pop and rock. The band's main musical influences ranged from The Beatles and The Smiths, to The Cure and The Eraserheads.
Orange and Lemons or ONL was a grand and swift crossover story from their humble beginnings as a virtually unknown act in the scene to being independent artists to being artists under major label Universal Records Philippines. Their songs enjoyed massive airplay in radio stations and music channels in the country resulting to the band gaining popularity and winning fans of different ages and backgrounds.
Their hit songs as of 2006 included "Just like a Splendid Love Song", "Hanggang Kailan (Until When)", "Heaven Knows (This Angel Has Flown)", "Abot Kamay (Within Reach)" and the controversial hit song "Pinoy Ako ('I'm Filipino)," which was the official soundtrack of Pinoy Big Brother, Philippines' franchised version of the reality TV show Big Brother.

R&B Princess

Kyla is the ultimate R&B princess; she is R&B and was tagged R&B when R&B really meant rhythm and blues. That was a time when R&B meant you have a powerful yet soulful voice. Today, R&B singers are like pre-paid card centers. They are everywhere, convenient and soooooooooo affordable. They come in different features and values. But you know that only the real ones, like Kyla will last forever.

There is definitely more to Kyla than not just being an ordinary girl. She is now a woman in every sense of the word.as evidenced in her sixth album titled Heartfelt. Here she shares a side no one has ever seen or heard before more sultry, more alluring, more soulful , and yes more heartfelt.

Silent Sanctuary

Silent Sanctuary was formed in 2001 with just three founding members, Norman Dellosa (vocals, guitars), Paolo Legaspi (bass guitar), and Allen Calixto (drums). As a growing band, they experimented in their music by mixing in classical instruments to make a unique sound, adding the fourth member, Norman's high school classmate Anjo Inacay (cellist) to the line-up. In 2002 they were asked to guest in UnTV's In the Raw where Anjo asked Jett Ramirez to create string arrangements for their performance. More string instrumentalists joined them during that single episode. Later Jett and Chino David (violinists) were both asked as a formal member of the band. In February 2004, they released an independently produced full length album in Millennia Bar and Cafe in Kamuning entitled Ellipsis of the Mind.

Chiksilog

Magdamag nag-aabang maglalaro kaya

Natalo nga sila at nagyaya kang magsaya
Tanging hinihintay ang makita ka

Alas dos nung Linggo (sa gotesco)
Nagpolo pa ako (at nagpabango)
Nananabik habang (hinahanap ka)
Tumigil ang mundo (nang makitang chicksilog)

Chicksilog, ako ay nahulog
Nilinlang, niloko, alam ko nang sikreto mo
Chicksilog, ako ay nahulog
Nilinlang, niloko, alam ko nang sikreto mo

Walang saysay ang mag-level up
Pagka siya ay nasira na
Ang inipong lakas naglahong parang bula
Kaya pala, ang husay mo sa espada
Si Maldita ay lalake pala

Alas dos nung Linggo (sa gotesco)
Nagpolo pa ako (at nagpabango)
Nananabik habang (hinahanap ka)
Tumigil ang mundo (nang makitang chicksilog)

Chicksilog, ako ay nahulog
Nilinlang, niloko, alam ko nang sikreto mo
Chicksilog, ako ay nahulog
Nilinlang, niloko, alam ko nang sikreto mo

Kamikazee - "Alay"

Pinagpala ang makilala ka
Ikaw ang dahilan ng aking paghinga
At sa yong mga mata
Pag-ibig ay damangdama
Di masusukat aking ligaya

Ngunit sa kabila ng lahat
Ika'y aking nakakalimutan
At sa oras ng kahinaan di ka nangiiwan

Ito ay alay ko sa yo
Panalangin ng isang hamak na katulad ko
Ito ay alay ko sa yo
Awiting kinakanta ng puso ko
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/k/kamikazee/alay.html ]

Kamikazee Band

The band is composed of five members who met in college at the College of Fine Arts of the University of the Philippines, Diliman. Kamikazee's early gigs were mostly on campus events in UP Diliman like the annual UP Fair. Before they were signed in a major label, they went by the name "Kamikazee Cornflakes" (eventually shortened to its current state as "Kamikazee"which they think is easier to remember). Their early shows included renditions of the songs "Mmm Sarap", "Tsinelas", a cover of Ariel Rivera's "Sana Kahit Minsan", and Britney Spears'Lucky. They were known for using expletives, suggestive movements, and references to genitalia in their UP Diliman performances.

Kamikazee released their first self titled album in 2002. The album's carrier single was a heavy cover version of the Britney Spears song "Lucky". Other notable songs include "Girlfriend", "Ung Tagalog", "Tsinelas" and their cover song of Ariel Rivera's "Sana Kahit Minsan". In 2005, the band released "Chiksilog" as part of the compilation album Rok On!and in 2006 they released their second album, Maharot. The carrier single of the album was "Narda", which is thought to be about the fictional Filipina heroine Darna. "Narda" was a popular hit in 2006, and gained constant airplays in radios on the same year. Later in 2009, "Narda" was used as a soundtrack for GMA Network's primetime show Darna which stars Marian Rivera in her title role.
The band maintains close ties with another popular Filipino band, Parokya ni Edgar (PNE). Chito Miranda, PNE's vocalist, met the band members in college as he was also studying in the College of Fine Arts. In events with Parokya ni Edgar on the line-up, one band's singer would normally jam with the other band. On Parokya ni Edgar's live sessions, Contreras frequently joined Miranda on songs like "Okatokat", "Chikinini" and "The Yes Yes Show." Contreras does back-up vocals to PNE's hit song "The Order Taker" while Linao was on lead guitars. In turn, Kaye Abad, Miranda's former girlfriend, was on back-up vocals in Kamikazee's song "Martyr Nyebera". Sarah Abad-Contreras, sister of Kaye Abad was married to Jay Contreras on February 12, 2009 held at the Paco Park.
The 3rd Album "Long Time Noisy" took the band 3 years to construct as the band balanced their tough schedules. The album was recorded at Tower of Doom Studios with producer Eric Perlas. One of their single Unang Tikim was used in the TV Ad of RC Cola in 2011.
